When a mother deer abandoned her fawn in Isobel Springett’s backyard, no one could have imagined what was about to happen.
The baby deer, alone and frightened, lay crying in the grass. So, the Springett’s carried her home where they could care for her in her mother’s absence.
That’s when Kate, the family’s Great Dane, adopted the fawn and the pair became instant, unlikely best friends. Now, Kate and Pippin are inseparable, they nap together, play together, even give each other kisses!
Pippin is so comfortable with his new family, he’s even been known to give that Springett’s cat a kiss!
